There are many sports that are played all over the world.
Wikipedia has noted that the four major professional sports leagues, played in the United States of America, are Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Football League (NFL), and the National Hockey League (NHL). This is based on their revenue. These are not the only sports, there are many more.
All of them have fans that have pledged an allegiance to support and cheer them on.
They faithfully rejoice when their teams win and feel sorrow when they don’t.
Just like the songwriter in Psalms 100, we should pledge our allegiance to the Lord.
To take it seriously and to encourage others to do the same.
Just like the love of sports is real and what the songwriter said is true, we need to show love and praise to God.
We need to rejoice and joyfully worship Him for all He has done for us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
God, when we cheerfully worship You, we find great encouragement. Encouragement to strive all the more to do things according to the Word. May we continue to joyfully worship, praise and testify of all the blessings You have, can and will bestow on us.
