Think about the last time you received a gift and instead of focusing on the gift, you spent the time focusing on the giver.
Showing them appreciation for their thoughtfulness.
It is not hard for a person who believes in Jesus Christ, and follows His teachings, to become spiritually nearsighted.
We are focused on all the blessings we have received, sometimes forgetting to say “Thank You”.
Some think that because we are His, it is a given. To be expected.
In all things we should give Him praise.
Being thankful for all the blessing He has bestowed on us.
Praising Him for His goodness and mercy.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, the psalmist was so right in what he said. We should start, and throughout, each day give You thanks and praise. Blessing Your Holy Name! You are the greatest gift bestowed to us and we should never forget it. Our love and devotion should be centered on You Lord. Thank You for all the blessings You have given us.
