Heartfelt Gestures

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.  Colossians 3:12 KJV

To live in mutual love, forbearance, and forgiveness is what God desires of us all.

Doing no hurt to anyone, but doing what good we can to all.

That even while in this world, where there is so much corruption in our hearts and quarrels will sometimes arise, we are to do as the Lord has done.

We are to forgive and love one another.

The same example of  forgiveness and love through which we are saved.

To show mercy and kindness to one another.

We never know what someone may be going through.

That was one of the challenges we had in our Recharge Bible Study Sessions.

We were to do at least one kind gesture to someone each day for a week.

So this is the challenge.

For one week, if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.

A simple gesture that we all can do.

What a difference it will make for someone.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, today, for Jesus’ sake and with Christlike love, may we encourage someone who may be hurting or just need a smile full of love.  Showing them the same love You have bestowed on us. Something that can be done by giving them a kind word or a friendly smile. Help us to do this, not just today, but everyday.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
