Excellent Time to be the One to Give Praise

Read: 1 Corinthians10:6-14 / 2 Corinthians 1:7-11

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV

Those from the “old school” days can remember when teapots were a part of every kitchen.

We can remember the days when they would make the whistling noise.

The sound indicated the water was hot and ready to be used.

The end of a devotional I was reading got my attention.

It said, “When you’re up to your neck in hot water, be like a teapot and start to sing.”

In our lives “hot water” can come in many forms.

There will be times when we find ourselves in situations that seem impossible to bear.

They can be so overwhelming that we feel there is no way out.

That we will no longer be able to fulfill the things we desire to do in life.

Those are times when we pray and sing praises unto the Lord.

It is through our faith in the Savior that we find the spiritual freedom we need.

He is able to deliver us from any physical or mental temptations we encounter.

We are always to remember that, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV).

In Him is where all our strength lies.

He know where our boiling point is.

He knows when it is time to put out the fire.

He has already made a way for our escape.

An escape that will always give us the encouragement we need to flee from sin and to be faithful to Him.

When it is all done, we will be singing songs of praise.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, no matter what we are going through, we put our trust in You. We know that You are faithful. There is no temptation that You cannot bring us through. Our faith continues to grow. We will have a Spirit-enabled cheerfulness, courage, and confidence to encourage others to have the same. Singing praises unto You in all we go through. Thank You for all You do in our lives.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
