Resting in Jesus – The Best Way to Genuine Peace

Today’s Reading: Isaiah 2:1-4 KJV

Today’s Verse: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3 KJV

Many believe that the mind needs something productive to focus on every day.

That keeping busy with tasks is healthy for them and they enjoy it.

But there will be times when our days can be filled with worry.

Family troubles, loneliness, and financial struggles are just some of the reasons for our stress.

When we allow ourselves to focus on these things, it invites anxiety to overwhelm us.

The Savior has the best way for us to handle things.

He has told us that, even though we face difficulties in life, we can rest in Him (John 16:33 KJV).

That we could cast all our worries upon Him and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28 KJV).

Life is so much better when we know who He is in our lives.

Truths in the Scripture is a good place to start.

Our God is Lord and Master.

He is present everywhere at the same time. He knows everything.

He is faithful and powerful.

His love is unconditional.

He offers forgiveness to all who put their trust in the Savior.

Every believer is one of His own and He wants the very best for us.

That is why He corrects us when we disobey Him.

As our relationship with Him grows, the closer we get to Him.

We begin to love Him above everyone and everything.

We read the Bible, pray and meditate on the Word.

Listening quietly for His Spirit to speak to our hearts.

Lovingly watching how God works in the lives of others.

Making us familiar with His ways.

He will keep us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on Him.

When we put our trust in Him (Isaiah 26:3 KJV).

Take time to be in His presence every day.

Getting to know Him better.

Let us then acknowledge Him in all our ways.

Trusting Him in all trials.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, whatever we trust the world for will last only for a moment. That is why we must put our trust in You. Your unchangeable promise and covenant of the Lord are the walls that keep us safe. We put our trust in the Lord. We want the perfect peace promised if we keep our minds stayed on Him. We pray that others will be encouraged to experience His peace.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
