More Than Powerful – This is Why Our Stopping Discouraged

Read: Galatians 1:7-13 / Colossians 1:1-10

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2 KJV

We all know that the benefits we receive can be good.

They can be mental or physical.

They can produce helpful results.

Effects that really help with our well-being.

We never know what someone’s true status is in life.

If they are really able to receive all that they need.

It is good to know that there is one benefit that is always available.

It does not matter what our status is in life.

One that is greater than any earthly thing we could ask for or hope for.

That is our ability to pray.

Prayer is good for our mental and physical well-being.

An even greater benefit as a weapon that empowers us with spiritual victory.

In the Bible we see that David was always praying.

He knew there was power in his prayers.

When he would speak, he would first give honor to the Lord.

Saying, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Psalms 103:2 KJV).

He knew where his blessings were coming from.

He continues to show that through prayer he was able to tell the Savior all about his struggles and how thankful he was that He heard his prayers (Psalms 103:3-5 KJV).

Showing us how our prayers are the ultimate weapons that allow us to resist any temptations Satan brings our way.

How prayer will help us remain true to God and His Word.

That prayer is our ultimate weapon to win any fight against the enemy.

There is even more proof of how important prayer is to our lives.

The Apostle Paul has even told us to, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11 KJV).

To be, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18 KJV).

Prayers are powerful.

Pray anytime and anywhere.

He has told us, “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving” (Colossians 4:2 KJV).

The Lord is always listening.

It does not matter if we are down on our knees, driving in our cars or just sitting on our couch,

He is listening and ready to respond.

He may not respond as quickly as we would like, but He is always on time.

Our time is not like His time.

Do not be discouraged.

Things will be all right.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalms 30:5 KJV).

A joy that cannot always be explained.

But one for which we are truly thankful.

May we never forget about the power of prayer.

They calm our hearts and renew our spirits.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know there are many temptations in the world. Ones that keep us from doing Your will. It is good to know that we have a weapon that will defeat sin at all times. That is our ability to pray. It allows us to come to You no matter the day or time. We know that all we have to do is tell You about our troubles and You will help us to be victorious. We are always at our best when come to You in prayer. Thank You for hearing our prayers and giving us the victory.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
