Read: Psalms 142
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
Psalms 142:3 KJV
There are so many things that we try to accomplish in life.
For some, we use calendars to guide our day.
For others, we mentally accomplish things as we think about them.
Some days are more overwhelming than others.
We have no idea how we will accomplish them all.
It becomes stressful.
Those are the times when we can be like David.
In this chapter, he was praying when he was in a cave.
He found the comfort that he needed through praying.
David is showing us that to dwell on our troubles does nothing to solve them.
He has told us that, “When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me” (Psalms 142:3 KJV).
That, “I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living” (Psalms 142:5 KJV).
The Lord heard his cries.
A true example of what it means to cast our cares upon the Lord because He cares for us.
How there is nothing we cannot bring to the Lord.
That He is there to lead and guide us through it all.
With a faith that shows we trust the Lord to direct our ways, we can praise Him and boldly face the things of life.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know there will be times of trouble. But no matter what they are we can always come to You. Because of our faith and through our prayers, we know there is no situation that the You cannot bring us through. We find comfort in knowing You are always there for us. Thank You for our deliverance in al things. We will always give You a praise of thankfulness.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
