Exposed: These Powerful Opportunities Do Make Achieving Goals Worthwhile

Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-24

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 KJV

With any goal we have a desired result.

We are determined to achieve them.

Most often we want to do it within a specific time.

We form a plan to track and help us stay focused on meeting them.

That is what Paul was expressing to the Thessalonians.

How they should be spending their time before the return of Christ.

He was reminding them that they were to “warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men” (1 Thessalonians 5:14 KJV).

Paul was teaching them to focus on making sure everything they did was in line with this goal (1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 KJV).

They were to comfort one another and help those that were weak.

They were to warn those who are stubborn, and to pray without ceasing.

That it should always end with rejoicing.

Paul’s goal was that “The very God of peace sanctify [them] wholly.”

That their “whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV).

That is what the Father desires from each of us.

We should be striving to keep the peace amongst ourselves.

But not letting our love for peace cause us to close one eye to sin.

He was also reminding us that we are not alone in achieving this goal.

The Savior is always there to help us.

“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24 KJV).

The fearful and sorrowful spirits of man should always be encouraged.

A kind word spoken may be what someone needs to make their day.

Walking daily in faith helps us to achieve the eternal goals the Lord has for each of
us.

Heavenly peace should be the ultimate goal.

Trust and believe.

His Word is true.

His plan for achieving it is set.

We just have to follow it.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that there is something for each of us to do. The Word says we are to warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, and be patient toward all men. It can be hard at times, but peace can be found. Help us to see what we can do today to keep us focused on the eternal goal You have set for us. Thank You for the wisdom and knowledge. We know through You all things are possible.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
