Today’s Reading: Proverbs 3:1-6
Today’s Verse: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
The phrase “let go and let God have His way” is our call to give up trying to control situations by ourselves. That we are to trust God to work it out.
Today’s verse encourages us to do this.
To completely trust in the Lord. Not in our personal wisdom.
We acknowledge Him in all areas of our lives. Having a desire to receive His guidance and direction for a straight path.
We are to surrender our understanding to His wisdom. We must allow Him to lead us on this journey.
He has promised that if we trust and acknowledge Him. He will provide everything we need.
When we do, it does not mean that we are not going to do anything. It means we are taking steps of faith. Using the wisdom He has given us. Using the different talents we each have.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30 KJV).
God has given us the opportunity to move forward in obedience to His leading.
It shows that we acknowledge that He has plans for our lives. That we know His power is perfect, even in our weakness.
Let us surrender it all to God. Stay active in our faith. Trust in His plan.
When we give up our personal control to God, it will bring relaxation and rest.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that You see everything that is going on in our lives. The struggles we face. The times we do not know which way to go. Your Word has told us to put our trust in You. To do it with all our heart. Believing that You are able to do what is best for us. We may not understand it, but we must keep the faith. You promised You would never leave us nor forsake us. We are standing on that promise. We know You will always come through. May we continue to understand we are not to lean to our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge You. You will direct our paths. Thank You for always being there for us.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
