Life Promising Results When You Endure Sound Doctrine

Read: 2 Timothy 4:1-5 / Mark 9:42-48

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.

2 Timothy 4:3 KJV

What we are taught and believe in has great meaning.

It is the means by which we live a life of goals achieved.

Knowing that in our latter days, it was worth it.

That is where living according to the Word is what we all need to do.

Just like the apostle charged Timothy to be diligent in his doings, we are to do the same.

The Father has warned us “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears” (2 Timothy 4:3 KJV).

The Father does not want us to be in this group.

His desire is that we “endure sound doctrine.”

He wants us to make sure we are learning and listening to the right things.

He has warned us that what we see and do has a profound impact on our lives.

That there will be people who turn away from truth.

That there will be some who grow weary of the Word.

They will be the ones that let the things of the world take control of their lives.

Many will speak badly of those who choose to live according to the Word.

Forgetting that the Word tells us, their disobedience will only lead to an eternal life in hell where the “fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:42-48 KJV).

That is not what we want our destination to be.

Remain steadfast in faith.

Continuing to take every opportunity to make known the purity of the gospel.

Praying that others will receive what He has for them.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that there will always be someone who turns away from the truth. They desire to continue to live a life of sin. It is good to know that You still have a love for them. That as Your child we desire to do Your will. We are to be watchful and remain faithful in all our ways. Letting nothing keep us from doing what is right. Being a positive example to others. Heaven, not hell, is our ultimate goal. Thank You for the strength and wisdom we need to help make it happen.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
