The Reason Why is Revealed, A Really Wonderful Outcome

Read: John 14:1-6

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.John 14:3

There have been times when a loved one has had to leave their family to take on a new job.

They were going ahead of them to secure housing.

To make sure it was what they needed before they could move the rest of the family there.

It is hard for those they are leaving behind, especially children, because they feel they may not see them again.

They want to go with them right then.

In the end, they realize that everything was being done for their good.

Before leaving, they are reminded that while they are apart, they are to behave themselves.

To do the right things.

When reading the Scriptures, that was how the disciples were feeling.

They didn’t want the Savior to leave.

They wanted to go with the Him.

But in the end, after He explained His mission, they had a better understanding as to why Jesus had to do it that way.

Jesus understood what they were saying.

He knew He had to let them know not to worry about His leaving.

That He was going to get with the Father and finish preparing the place He had prepared for them (v. 1-2).

For them not to worry, because if He was going to prepare a place for them, He surely would be back to get them.

That where He was, they would be there also (v.3).

Reminding them not to be sorrowful, but to keep their minds quiet, when everything else around them wasn’t.

To continue spreading the Word.

And before He left, He promised that He would come again.

So when we have our feelings of fears and doubts,,, remember what He said.

The Lord has told us that the best way to eliminate them all is to “Trust and Believe.”

Our belief in Him as our Mediator between God and man gives us what we need to gain comfort.

Understanding that all He is doing for us is because He loves and cares about and wants only the best for us.

When we realize it great joy will fill our hearts.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we understand how it feels to have someone leave, even if is only for a short time. It is when we understand the reason why, that things feel better.  We know that in in the end we will be happy and filled with joy.  That is how we feel when we read and understand that after all You went through for our salvation, You are preparing a place for us to be with You in the end.Thank You for loving and caring so much about us.  You always want what is best for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
