Great Worth – Awesome Reason Why Answered In The Word

Read: Psalms 8

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Psalms 8:3-4 KJV

It is inspiring to read or see things that show how we as believers see things in a manner so much better than an unbeliever.

As Christians our hearts and minds are guided by the wisdom and knowledge we receive from God; in the Word.

He sees more in us than we see in ourselves.

In this passage, David was looking at how God’s majesty could be seen in all creation.

How He has made the heavenly bodies useful to man.

How He has placed man but a little lower than the angels.

The fact that we are made in His image (Genesis 1:26).

That there was a price paid for our sins on Calvary.

The greatest sacrifice ever made for mankind.

He has done so much for us.

That is why David asked the question Why?

With all that He (we) had done, what is it that would make Him so mindful of us (Psalms 8:3-4).

It is because God cares for us all (Luke 12:6-7; John 3:16, Galatians 2:20).

We all know we all make sacrifices for those we love.

The Lord has done this and more.

Since we are made in His image, remember how our great worthiness is a reflection of Him.

So when we look at all the things around us and see things as He does, we understand why He does them.

He has great things ready for us to do in this lifetime.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, to look at all You have created tells us much about the marvelous works You have done. The more we learn, the more we appreciate the fact that You saw something in us and sacrificed Your life for us. Thank You for the many blessings You give us.  We are only worthy because You have shown us what it means.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
