At an early age we are taught that reading is important.
Even as we get older, reading or listening to something being read is still important.
Important because it helps develop our minds, our language skills and our listening skills.
Developments much needed to help motivate us in achieving the things we want in life.
The more we read or listen, the more our understanding and comprehending skills improve.
That’s what the Lord wants for us.
That’s where studying the Word comes in.
Whether we read the Bible or listen to the Bible being read. We need to study It.
The more we devote our time and attention to acquiring the knowledge He has for us, the more encouragement we gain.
We become highly skilled in our knowledge and understanding of the truth of the Word.
Learning how to deal with things occurring all around us. To do things the right way.
Learning how to live in accordance to the Word and not being ashamed to acknowledge our belief in what It says.
Showing ourselves approved by God and ready to do what He desires of us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, help us to remember to take the time to read or listen to Your Word. That there is always something for us to learn. Improving our knowledge and ability to serve. That no matter what some may think, we all need to do this and there is nothing to be ashamed about it. We have Your approval to do it. Thank You Lord.
