Today’s Reading: Psalms 107:1-16
Today’s Verse: Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Psalms 107:2 KJV
Gratitude is the quality of being thankful. It is our readiness to show appreciation for what we have received. Our desire to return the same kindness.
It is an expression which is what Psalms 107 describes.
“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy” (Psalms 107:2 KJV).
The message of these verses in Psalms relates to people in great trouble who were delivered by the Lord.
Some were homeless and in need (vv. 4-5). Some had gone against God’s Word (vv.10-11). Some were at their wits’ end when they cried out to God (vv.26-27).
The good news is that all were rescued by God.
“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (vv. 8,15,21,31).
We, who hunger and thirst after righteousness, after God, and communion with Him, shall be filled with the goodness of His house, both in grace and glory.
We will always remember the greatness of God’s love and His grace.
How He sent Jesus to die for us and rise again. That by His sacrifice we have been delivered from sin.
Nothing should keep us from telling others how He changed our lives.
Our gratitude to God for salvations is the greatest reason for praising the Lord.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, our hearts are filled with praise for all that You have done in our lives. Filled with praise for all that You will do in our lives. You have changed our focus. We are learning daily what our purpose is in life. Because of the sacrifice Jesus made, we cannot help but give Him praise. Thank You for bringing us through every situation that we face. We are redeemed of the LORD. Redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Again we say, Thank You!
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
