Devotion

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.  Ephesians 5:24-25 KJV

Relationships are dependent upon and subject to one or more conditions.

As Christ is the head of the church, the church  is dependent upon and subject to the conditions He sets.

The same holds true in  a marriage.

Wives and husbands are a part of the church, having to follow the commandments handed down by God, which must be obeyed.

Wives are to submit themselves to their husbands.

A submission shown by honoring, obeying and loving them, as they do the Lord.

Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church.

A love which is sincere, pure, and constant, in spite of the absence of success on her part.

Understanding there will be times when things won’t  go the way you planned, but not to let it alter your relations.

Continue to rejoice in the love and devotion that Christ has for us.

Always remembering, as husbands and wives, your duties are to one another.

With your duty to Christ and His Word being first.

He has always shown love, loyalty, and faithfulness to us.

And we as a church, wives and husbands, shall do the same.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord,  the spiritual relation between You and the church shows us that there are duties all must do.  Duties that wives and husbands must follow for their relationship to work. Praying that the Word will be the guide that delivers from anything that would hinder their relationship with You or their significant other.  Keep us all devoted to the influence of the Holy Ghost so we, as the church, can show the love You have for us in all we do.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
