Faith Always Makes It Easy to Answer His Call

Today’s Reading:2 Corinthians

Today’s Verse: Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 2 Corinthians 8:7 KJV

Missionary work has great meaning.

It is something done by an individual or a group of Christians.

Ones who knows their first responsibility is to God.

They desire to follow His lead.

Letting Him direct them on the mission set for their lives.

It can be to minister to those who need reminders of what the Lord is doing in our lives.

Sone to places where faith in Christ has not been told.

It will require us to be spiritually motivated and have some financial support.

Especially when we are called to travel across the world.

Many churches or individuals will often hold fundraisers.

Or a function to receive donations to help with the expenses.

Asking for assistance in fulfilling their mission.

Other times there will be someone who has heard of the mission and desires to sponsor someone.

They may not be able to travel, bur really believe in the mission.

They want to help spread the Word of God’s goodness.

All the while still doing what they can where they live.

Knowing we all have a part to play ins spreading the Word.

The Word even shows that Jesus and His disciples were on a missionary journey.

They were traveling from one town and village to another. Telling everyone about the good news of His kingdom (Luke 8:1-3 KJV).

While on this journey He met some people.

There was a “certain woman, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities.”

There was “Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.”

“And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward.”

“And Susanna, and many others.”

All of “which ministered unto him of their substance” (Luke 8:2 KJV).

Jesus had ministered to their spiritual and physical needs.

In the end, out of gratefulness, they helped to support them “out of their own means” (Luke 8:3 KJV).

They desired to help Him and His disciples through giving their financial support.

Our mission is just like that of our Savior.

To teach about Him, to spread the Word of faith and to help communities in need.

“Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in [His] love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also” (2 Corinthians 8:7 KJV).

We all should have a heart for others and for getting God’s good news to people.

We all can play a part in showing that the Lord’s heart is filled with so much grace.

That His mercy is for us all.

He desires we show His love to those in our communities and other parts of the world.

Take the time to ask Him how He wants to use you as a missionary.

Faith is the root; and as without faith it is not possible to please God, (Hebrews 11:6 KJV).

So those who abound in faith will abound in other graces and good works,

It can be challenging at times.

Great comfort comes in knowing that we have done as we were called to do.

That we went where there was great need for His wisdom and grace.

That we gave Him our all.

That we kept the faith.

Jesus gave His all.

He deserves our all.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that without faith it is impossible to please You. You have called each of us to be missionaries. That we are not to worry about how we will get it done. That You have already set it in the plans You have for our lives. That You will provide all that is needed to accomplish it. Let us be willing to spread the good news of You salvation to those in our neighborhoods and around the world. Thank You for giving Your all. You deserve all that we have to give.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
