Faith: The Greatest Way to Testify to Those Lost

Read: 1 Corinthians 1:18-25

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness.

1 Corinthians 1:23 KJV

Many of the first-century hearers that Apostle Paul spoke with chose not to believe what he was telling them.

They did not accept the fact that Christ was crucified for their sins.

That there was a chance for redemption.

But the Father knew that there would be those who would not accept this fact.

Because they had a desire to follow the leadings of others.

Leaders who were purring themselves as being above Christ.

Those who followed them were relying more on human wisdom instead of Divine Wisdom.

Instead of pursuing truth, they were choosing to make their own path in life.

Making them unable to find or retain the knowledge of God as our Creator.

What they failed to realize was the thing being preached to them by Paul, was not foolishness.

It was being preached to save them.

Knowing that all who believed in Christ would have a better life.

That the foolishness of worldly-wise men would only lead to a life filled with doubts.

Tat there was still hope for those who followed foolish ways could still be saved.

Even today, there are people who have the same feelings.

They have problems with receiving what the Word says.

They do not accept the Savior.

They continue to follow the foolish ways of this world.

They do not acknowledge the fact that Jesus was a Nazarene carpenter.

The One who was nailed to a cross for our sins.

The One who made the salvation of man possible.

But thankfully there were those who did choose to believe.

As believers we know that “Christ crucified” was the supreme demonstration of God’s wisdom, love, and grace (1 Corinthians 1:22-25).

That because of this sacrifice, forgiveness through faith is possible.

So while we yet live, let us daily worship Him.

Giving praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Expressing our love and thanks for all He has done.

He made the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.

Giving us reason to show others what a joy it is to live for Him.

Giving us a chance to change our way of living for the better.

Acknowledging that He has prepared a better place for us in the end.

Heaven is our goal.

Knowing that when we get to Heaven we can gladly fall down at the feet of Jesus.

Worshipping Him with gratitude.

A gratitude that we will be unable to fully express.

May we never forget that there is still someone who needs to know it is not too late to come to know the Savior.

A WORD OF PRAYER
