Fearless Witnessing: The Outstanding Reasons to Suffer for Righteousness

Today’s Reading: 1 Peter 3:8-17

Today’s Verse: But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. 1 Peter 3:14 KJV

A strong belief is a conviction that something is true or real. It is often based on faith, or firsthand experiences.

It can be a deeply held opinion that shapes one’s overview and influences.

In our walk with Christ, we will always face moments when our strong belief in Him will be questioned.

In this passage, 1 Peter 3, the apostle is trying to prepare Christians for the threat of persecution that they would daily be facing.

He told them to live a life marked by love. One that was free from evil (1 Peter 3:8-12 KJV).

That even if they did suffer for righteousness’ sake, they were blessed (1 Peter 3:14 KJV).

In life, there will always be someone or something that tries to challenge our faith.

Things that make us feel there is no hope.

Keep the faith. Keep doing things according to the Word.

Even in his times of persecution, Peter knew, “For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing” (1 Peter 3:17 KJV).

We sanctify God before others, when our conduct invites and encourages them to glorify and honor him.

No matter what we go through, continue to give Him praise.

The life we live through Him will always be victorious in the end.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, as followers of Christ, we must always be prepared to suffer for doing good. It is our prayer that believers all around the world continue in faith. We all need to have faith that remains strong, true, and real. That we know that our suffering is not in vain. We want to have the faith and courage needed to do Your will, no matter what comes our way. Thank You Father for being our strength in the times of storm.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
