God’s Orchestra

Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. Revelations 15:4 KJV

An orchestra is a large instrumental ensemble.

It consists of string, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.

They are guided by a conductor, who chooses the works to be performed.

The conductor studies their scores, may make certain adjustments, work out their interpretation, and relays their vision to the performers.

The performances are usually great.

However, if one performer hits a wrong note, it changes the whole performance, which is undesirable.

That’s what happened after God had made all creations and gave freewill to Adam and Eve.

Things were perfect, but Adam and Eve, with the influence of the devil, felt they had a better way to perform in the Garden of Eden.

This undesirable act caused God to change the position they were in and compose something new for man.

That’s when He sent Jesus to be our Conductor and orchestrate things.

While we yet live, we must adhere to the works we are to perform.

Remembering the power of God’s wrath if we do not.

The value of His favor towards us when we do.

The glory of His holiness that is given to us when we perform well.

Remembering that, one day there will be a final performance, when we all have to stand before God, on our own.

A time to be judged according to how we performed during our lifetime.

Did we follow the Conductor’s lead or try to change things?

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we know You have orchestrated all things.  Thank You for making them actions that we should have no problem performing. Knowing that if we do not, we will not be worshipping together in New Jerusalem.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
