Today’s Reading: Psalms 46
Today’s Verse: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1 KJV
There will always come a time when we face trials and tribulations. Ones that can shake our faith. Those are the moments we must lean on God. By faith we rely on His wisdom and His timing.
God is the One who keeps us safe. He is always there when the storms of life are raging. We are to put our trust in Him Knowing that He will guide us through our struggles. That He will help us grow stronger and recover quickly from difficult conditions.
Leaning on God means we are surrendering our worries and fears to Him. That we know He has the perfect plan for each of us.
The Bible is filled with wonderful verses that encourage us to trust God during challenging moments. There is a Scripture that relates to anything we are going through.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV).
The power of prayer is another way in which we can lean on Him.
It is our direct line of communication with Him. It allows us to express our fears, hopes, and dreams. It is our way of surrendering control to Him. A way to invite God into every one of our situations.
A time when we can ask Him for support and wisdom. Trusting that He really hears us.
When we lean on Him in prayer, we develop a deeper relationship with Him.
“Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you” (Jeremiah 29:12 KJV).
God is always with us. There to always give us a sense of peace and comfort.
He promised to never leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5 KJV).
So, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV).
Never forgetting that God is always there for us. Reminding us to lean on Him for strength and encouragement.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we often question the directions we are heading in life. We often feel lost and all alone. The more we lean on You, we trust in the plans You have for us. Even when we cannot see it clearly. But we know that all Your plans are filled with hope and promise. We have to take the steps of faith and lean on You. To trust in Your Divine plans. Thank You for making a way for us to lean on You. For always bring us through. You are our “Way Maker.”
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
