Today’s Reading: 1 Peter 4:12-19
Today’s Verse: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. 1 Peter 4:12 KJV
Great triumphs are born out of great troubles.
Therefore, we should not be surprised to know that God permits the added trials of being ridiculed and hated because we follow Christ (1 Peter 4:12 KJV).
Troubles can be common to man. They can be unique to Christians. In either case, they can reveal to us the moral fiber of our soul.
We learn patience and fortitude in suffering.
We learn to depend on the promises of God.
We learn how to keep to the Word and acknowledge all that the Holy Spirit reveals.
That is why we are not to think it strange when trouble comes our way.
“Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:19 KJV).
Troubles. It is God’s way of testing our ability to endure hardships and stress.
He wants us to have the ability to endure any tasks set before us. To maintain focus for extended periods of time. To do it all without becoming easily fatigued or worn out.
Great triumphs are born out of great troubles.
It is a test of our faith.
Troubles will never last for those who believe.
For those who have put their faith in the Word.
Be the one who endures to the end.
A WORD OF PRAYER

Always depending on Your promises. You will never leave us or forsake us. In Your presence there is unspeakable joy. Holy is Your name. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your great kindness. Thank You for Your tender mercies. We place everything into Your hands.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
