Hallelujah Love! The Most Powerful Praise We Can Show

Today’s Reading: Psalms 148

Today’s Verse: Hallelujah! Praise GOD from heaven, praise him from the mountaintops; Praise him, all you his angels, praise him, all you his warriors, Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, you morning stars; Praise him, high heaven, praise him, heavenly rain clouds; Praise, oh let them praise the name of GOD— he spoke the word, and there they were! Psalm148:1-5 MSG (The Message)

“Hallelujah!”

This is Hebrew for “Praise the Lord.” It is a word of praise used twenty-four times in the Book of Psalms. Psalms 146-150 are considered the Hallelujah Psalms.

Psalms 148:1 is giving the Lord praise. Acknowledging that the skies should be filled with praise. That the highest heavens should be filled with shouts of glory.

There is also a call to sing a new song of praise to the King. One that is accompanied by dancing and music (Psalms 149:1-9 KJV).

Psalms 150 is considered “The Hallelujah Psalm.” This psalm is the ending of praise. Praise is given thirteen times in just six verses. Encouraging worshippers to praise God with instruments, dance, and breath.

It does not stop there.

Revelations 19:3-9 KJV speaks to the heavenly celebration of praise following the righteous judgment of God against evil. This is the only place that “Hallelujah” is found in the New Testament. It represents the ultimate victory of God. The worshipping of God in Heaven.

When we look back over our lives, we can see how He has guided us.

Even when we did things the wrong way, He never has left us.

He keeps forgiving us and blessing us.

Our “Hallelujah” belongs to Him. He deserves every moment of praise.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, it is because of Your mercy that we are not consumed by the thing of the world. Your compassion for us never fails. We get new blessings every day. Your faithfulness is great. Hallelujah is the highest praise. It belongs to You. All the glory and honor belong to You. We will shout it everywhere we go. We will let everybody know that we have a Heavenly Father that is worth every ounce of our praise. We can never “Thank You” enough for all that You have done.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
