Today’s Reading: John 3: 13-19
Today’s Verse: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV
Agape Love. It is described as the highest form of love.
It is selfless. It is not self-centered. It sees the needs and well-being of others as important.
It is unconditional. Iti is given freely. Expecting nothing in return.
It is sacrificial. There is a willingness to give of oneself. Even when it requires a personal sacrifice.
It is enduring. No matter the challenges or difficulties, love is still there.
It is forgiving. It does not hold any bad feelings against another person.
It is kind. Compassion is shown. There is the ability to understand and share feelings.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).
Jesus was sent by God to save us. He did it so that we might not die by the sentence of the law.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13 KJV)
It was a Divine Love that came from God and shown to us.
Because of this great sacrifice, it is our duty to give of ourselves. To learn more about Him and His great love. Showing each other this same type of love.
There is a great benefit in following His ways.
“Whosoever believes in Him, [and keeps His Word] shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).
Our hearts should be filled with praise.
His Agape Love. The best kind of love there is.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, out of love for us, You sent Jesus to die on the cross. He paid the price for our sins on Calvary. We give You all the honor and praise for Your loving sacrifice. Our hearts, our minds, our souls belong to You. Thank You for Your Agape Love. We are nothing without You.
