Today’s Reading: Ephesians 6:19-24
Today’s Verse: For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:20 KJV
Good news is positive, no matter where it comes from. It is favorable and encouraging. It brings happiness, relief, or a sense of hope.
It often expresses something desirable, beneficial, or uplifting.
In the eyes of a believer, “Good News” is the gospel. It is the message of salvation. The foundation of our faith.
We desire to learn more about Jesus. His teachings, His life, His death, and His resurrection.
The more we learn, the more we desire to tell others about Him.
Paul was an ambassador for Christ. A man sent by God. He spoke about the gospel and Christ.
He would do it even in the face of difficulties and trouble. He did it even while he was in prison, and despite his chains.
Paul did not see his time in prison as a barrier to sharing the message. He saw it as an opportunity to demonstrate the Power of God. The Power of His Word.
He spoke with courage and very clearly. He spoke in a way that was easily understood.
Paul had a firm commitment to spreading the gospel. He was bold in all his efforts.
As believers, we all have the ability to tell others about Jesus. To do it with boldness.
We are living testimonies. Ambassadors for Christ.
Like Paul, we should be Ambassadors that have no fear in spreading the gospel.
The Spirit of Christ abounds in our lives.
The grace of the Spirit produces faith and love.
The Lord can see us through any situation. All our blessings come through Him.
We all have something to praise God for. One that we desire to share with others.
Nothing should keep us from spreading the gospel. God’s message of salvation.
Hoping that something will touch them enough that they seek Him for themselves.
That they receive all the blessings He desires for their lives.
It is fulfilling to see the power of God’s Word. How it is working in someone’s life.
What a day of rejoicing that will be.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we are grateful that Jesus entered into Your presence on our behalf. That He offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. We ask that You strengthen our faith. Help us to hold fast to the hope we have in You. Have the boldness to tell others about You. Showing we can always approach Your Throne of Grace with confidence. You understand all our weaknesses. Fill us with Your peace. Guide us with Your love. Thank You for being there for us.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
