Today’s Reading: 1 John 4:9-16
Today’s Verse: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1 John 4:9 KJV
Love has great meaning.
We express it in many ways.
Most often by showing an intense feeling of affection for someone or something.
All of us desire to know that we are loved.
To be able to show love to someone else.
But the greatest showing of love is the love God has shown us.
The Word tells us, “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him” (1 John 4:9 KJV).
Jesus is not only a symbol of love, like a rose given to one person to another.
He is the divine human who willingly gave of His life for us.
His showing of love for us truly goes beyond the love we show each other.
His love made it where anyone who believes in Him for salvation can have an everlasting relationship with God.
“If God so loved us, we ought also to love one another” (1 John 4:11 KJV).
Knowing that, “If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us” (1John 4:12 KJV).
The Spirit of God is the Spirit of love.
Nothing can “separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39 KJV).
His Divine Love is with us every minute of the day.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, You have a law of love. A love that was shown when You sent Jesus to save us. That if we follow His lead, we would be perfectly happy. Thank You for showing us how much You love us. May we live a life that shows how much we love and appreciate You. Never forgetting to show love to others.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
