Today’s Reading: Micah 7:8-9, 18-20
Today’s Verse: I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. Micah 7:9 KJV
All have had moments of feeling sorrow and regret for having done something wrong.
As followers of Christ, we know we can repent of our sins. To seek forgiveness for them from God.
For some this may not be easy.
They are fearful and unsure of how to pick up the pieces and move on in their personal lives.
Some may even spend their remaining lives waiting for help to recover from a previous failure.
The more we try to do things our way, they only get worse.
The Savior already told us “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26 NIV).
The Father knows there are limitations on what we can do.
The moment we find Jesus, our eternity with Him begins.
The power of faith is what we need.
Knowing that He walks alongside us.
Trusting in His ability to overcome obstacles.
Testifying of the victories received in seemingly impossible outcomes.
He made it where we are free to fellowship with God and serve Him daily.
Victory comes the more we stay rooted in the Word.
When we face hard times we can say, “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me”
That we will “bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness” (Micah 7:8-9 KJV).
Once we make the right choice we will be able to say, “What a wonderful change in my life.”
We stopped wandering. We stopped doing things the wrong way. The many sins in life were all washed away.
We possess a hope that is steadfast and sure.
Telling everyone that it happened “since Jesus came into my heart.”
The Lord desires to change us into the person we long to be. The one He created us to be.
Let us look up from our failures and see that God is standing ready to receive us.
What a day of rejoicing that will be.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, even when our enemies may seem to prevail against us. Even when our enemies rejoice over our circumstances. Even when our actions are not enough to fix our failures. We will not lose hope or courage. We submit everything to You. In Your mercy hope is always found. Thank You for Jesus, who gave His life for us. Help us to look up and walk with You daily.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
