His Work: The Greatest Creations Ever to be Seen

Today’s Reading: Colossians 1:15-23

Today’s Verse: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. Colossians1:16 KJV

The Bible tells us: “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Colossians1:16 KJV).

By God’s power were all things made.

The world and all humanity were of His loving design.

When we take the time to look around, we cannot help but wonder how God truly created all things.

To marvel at His magnificent works.

To think about how He sent Christ in His human nature.

The One who was born before all the creation. The One who represents the eternity of God to us.

The more we read the Scriptures, we learn more about all the things He has done.

David, the Psalmist, even speaks to the uniqueness and beauty of God’s creation.

He said, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” And that “If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” (Psalms 139:14,18 KJV).

The Father has always made a way for us to approach Him.

Paul wrote, “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight” (Colossians 1:21-22 KJV).

We can see it as the visible discovery of the invisible God.

All things being created by Him, were created for Him.

We were made by His power. We were made according to His pleasure. We were made for His praise and glory.

Christ as Mediator is the Head of the body. The church is his body.

The Church being those who believe in Christ. Those who are called to live as His followers.

All fulness dwells in Him. It is a fulness of merit and righteousness. One of strength and grace for us.

And by the power of His Word, and in humble faith, we can enjoy everything He has for our lives.

God’s love is so great to us.

He did not have to do all the wonderful things He has done.

Let us continue to seek Him in prayer and abound in holy duties.

Living no more to ourselves, but to Christ.

Because “all things were created by Him, and for Him.”

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that creation is the act of making or producing something. You are our Creator. You brought the universe and everything in it into existence from nothing. We praise You because we know we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We cannot number the ways You have blessed us. We want to abound in Your holy ways. Living no more to ourselves, but to Christ. To seek You is our desire. To abound in holiness is our goal. With You all things are possible. Thank You for all that You are doing for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
