Hope: Always Finding Wonderful Security in His Unconditional Love

Today’s Reading: Psalms 27:7-13 / Exodus 1:22-2:10

Today’s Verse: When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Psalms 27:10 KJV

Adoption usually refers to the legal process of becoming a non-biological parent.

To take someone as your own.

For many that are adopted, they may not know the circumstances surrounding their birth.

But they know that they have two moms.

Moms that wanted them to have a chance at life.

In Exodus we read where Pharaoh had ordered the murder of all the baby boys born to the Jewish people (Exodus 1:22 KJV).

This order left a loving mother in a desperate situation.

She had to figure out how she could save her son.

His name was Moses.

She hid him as long as she could.

When He was three months old, she put him in a watertight basket.

She then placed the basket in the Niles River.

A princess rescued Moses.

He grew up in Pharaoh’s palace.

As time went on, he found out who his biological mother was.

Understood the troubles they faced and delivered his people out of slavery.

Moses had been given a chance at life and he used it for good.

It is no secret that God has adopted all believers.

“Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ” (Galatians 4:7 KJV).

Because of His redeeming grace, we have a new relationship of trust and love.

The more we acknowledge who we are in Him, we can reap the benefit of His Divine guidance.

A guidance that will always have the benefit of His Divine protection.

It is always good to know that the Father always has a plan for our lives.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, to be adopted by You is the greatest thing to happen in our lives. The love You give makes it easier for us to survive. Today we pray for those facing desperate times. Lonely times. And especially for those poor and defenseless. People all over the world need to know You are there for them. Let us never forget that there are many ways to show someone love. That You are the One who is our greatest example of how to do it. Thank You for adopting and loving us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
