It is not hard, in today’s atmosphere, to be caught up in something that seems so exciting.
We see other people trying it and begin to think it’s the thing to do.
Many times it is just a trend that is easily forgotten.
Sin has the same effect on our lives.
They are desires that give the impression of happiness but in the end brings misery.
It can present things that are so appealing that, without even realizing it, we become spiritually numb.
So numb that we lose our ability to feel connected to God.
God desires for us to be able to think, feel, and react to things correctly and according to the Word.
Letting nothing keep us morally or spiritually impure.
Turning away from anything that causes us to show a selfish desire for more than what is needed.
Don’t follow the ways of man, if they are not the ways of God.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, there is nothing more worse than our inability to see the trends of this world are not what we need. That the Word is the best trend to follow because it never changes, with the most magnificent results. That It has our best interests in mind. Thank You for the knowledge, grace and mercy You bestow on us.
