Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 / Psalms 30
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
Thanksgiving Day is upon us.
We are preparing to travel to be with loved ones.
Preparations are being made for our family gatherings at home.
It is always great when family and friends come together to enjoy this day.
But everyday is a day to be thankful.
It does not matter if our situation.
None of us know what the day may bring.
Plans that we make may have to change.
We may not be feeling our best.
Times when we feel all hope is gone.
Those are the times when the Spirit of Thanksgiving is most needed.
For us to remember what the Bible has told us.
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV).
He sees and knows all about our good times and our struggles.
His desire is for us to give Him thanks through it all.
Showing that we really have the faith to believe all that He is doing and will do in our lives.
A truly religious life is a life of constant joy.
The more we pray and give thanks to Him, we will always have a reason to rejoice.
Praising Him through the good and the bad.
Praising Him whether we are happy or sad.
Every Day will be a day of thanksgiving.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, You have brought us through many dangers. Some seen and some unseen. Times when we could have lost faith. Times when we almost strayed from the Word. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, let us remember we should be thankful every day. Thankful for the blessings You bestow on us every hour of the day. Our words can never express how thankful we really are. But we will strive to demonstrate it by the way we live each day. Thank You Father for being there for us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
