Read: Matthew 19:13-22
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:14 KJV
Children are gifts from God to families.
They are a heritage from the Lord (Psalms 127:3 KJV).
The Lord has told us that even from an early age children should be encouraged to come to Him.
He told the disciples, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14 KJV).
All Christians should bring their children to the Savior.
That He may bless them with spiritual blessings.
Always praying that they will feel the touch of His hands.
That they desire to become members of God’s family.
To live a life according to His Word.
But it does not stop there.
Childhood acceptance of Him is only the beginning.
We all know that as we grow older, we are no longer considered a child by man’s definition.
That even though our parents planted and watered the seed of righteousness in our lives, we are responsible to keep it growing.
Always reminding ourselves that we are still “children” of God.
That God has created us in His image and that He has a great love for us.
We can always come to Him.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that all Christians should bring their children to the Savior. Having a desire for You to bless them with spiritual blessings. Knowing that as they grow older, the same spiritual blessings can be theirs. It is great to know that no matter our age, we still are one of Your children. That the blessings are still there for the asking. We just have to trust and believe in You. We are thankful for the place You have reserved for us in Heaven. That eternal life can be ours. We humbly submit ourselves to You. Thank You for receiving us as Your own.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
