Read: Matthew 7:1-6
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. Matthew 7:5 KJV
Life presents us with many situations.
All of us can have a moment when we can make an insensitive remark.
Times when we are quick to condemn someone else for their actions.
To judge one another.
One that can cause hurt.
Failing to remember our words have great meaning.
That we all have made our own mistakes.
That if the shoe were on the other foot, it would not feel good.
That is why the Father sent a harsh message to us all.
He said, “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye” (Matthew 7:5 KJV).
To stop being quick to point out the sins of others unless we want the same treatment.
To truly see how our remarks are causing hurt to those around them.
How once we realize our own faults, we will know how to speak to others.
God’s Spirit will always convict regarding our behavior.
Reminding us that first we need to look at themselves.
Always remember from where He has brought us.
To confess the sins in their lives.
Asking Him to help them overcome them.
A conviction that will make us judge ourselves before we judge anyone else.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we constantly find ourselves in a position where we want to judge one another. Help us to realize that we all have our moments of sin. That none of us are perfect. That true repentance and godly sorrow is what we each need to express. May we continue to see that we need to first reform ourselves. Then we will be in a better position to assist others. Making us more compassionate to them as You are to us. We want to walk in the light of Your goodness.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
