1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV
We all grieve when a loved one or friend passes away.
Emotions of love are shown by the tears we shed.
The loneliness that is felt in our hearts is comforted when we remember the times shared.
Our greatest comfort comes when we know that they passed away knowing, loving and following the Lord.
Knowing, deep in our hearts, that at the second coming of the Lord, all those who died in Him will be raised first, in perfect bodies.
Then we, the believers who are still alive, will then be raised and reunited with our loved ones and friends.
In the clouds, we will all be caught up together.
Meeting the Lord in the air.
To be with Him forevermore.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we don’t know everything that happens after death. We do know that we will be at rest. Resting until Your second coming. A comfort in knowing that a time will come when You will bring all who believe together in Heaven. To be with You, Lord. Our place of love, peace and happiness. Our joy in You forever.
