Romans 12:15 KJV
It is a blessing to be able to celebrate with those we know, love and hear about.
Celebrate scholastic achievements.
Celebrate job promotions.
Celebrate birthdays.
Celebrate new births.
Celebrate the death of someone who knew the Lord.
Unfortunately, the opposite can also happen and be a time for sadness and crying.
Scholastic endeavors were not achieved.
Someone else got the promotion you wanted.
The person you desired to hear from on your birthday was not around.
You get news of a miscarriage or loss of a newborn.
The death of someone you knew and loved, whether they did or didn’t know the Lord.
Whether it joy or pain, we need to show true love, just like the Lord did, and be there for each other.
The support we give each other, be it in person, via a phone call, through social media, through our prayers, means a lot to the person receiving it.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, being there for each other in the good and bad times is what we strive to do. We know we may not be able to physically be there for everybody or for everything. We thank You for the Word, prayer, the ability to rejoice in the success of one another and to be a comfort for all those in need. Let us continue to be there for each other through the good and the bad, the happy and the sad.
