In this chapter of Psalms, the wicked nations were making plans on how to overthrow God’s Anointed and, in the end, God too.
Satan is using unconverted men, of every rank, party, and character to oppose the cause of God.
Instead of worrying, God is sitting in Heaven, calm and unthreatened.
Laughing because He knows that those who are following His truths and precepts are against any of the temptations of this world.
It isn’t a heartless or cruel laugh, because He does still care about those who are lost.
God’s laughter is His way of giving us the assurance that Christ is still on the throne and will be triumphant over any evil that ties to prevail in our lives.
Christ has all power both in heaven and in earth, and is Head over all things.
So when the enemy tries to come against us, laugh and pray, knowing that God is in control.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You that Your threats against the enemies of Your kingdom are powerful. Giving the enemy no success in being victorious over us. May others see, in the hearts of all believers, all that You can do for them too. That You have all power both in heaven and in earth, and You are the Head over all things.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
