Lead Me On

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? Judges 6:14 KJV

Leadership is the influence that is shown to make as great as possible the use and the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal.

A leader’s most important role is to provide clear and compelling direction.

Ensuring that all followers understand, embrace, and work toward achieving those objectives.

Jesus is the leader that provides our momentum.  The force that drives us forward, keeping us moving.

Providing us with everything we need to achieve the goals set before us.

That’s what He did with Gideon.

Gideon was called to be used to deliver Israel.

Called because God saw that he possessed the courage and determination to do it, but was to shy to accomplish it.

Through prayer and sacrificing Gideon heeded to his calling.

Letting his actions speak not of himself, but for the ideals of God.

His faith was confirmed to God’s delight.

That’s what He wants from us.

Even though we may be shy and afraid to stand out, God still wants to use us for the Kingdoms good.

Just humble ourselves and pray, because it isn’t about us but about what God desires for all of us.

Remembering that God will give us the power to make it through it all.

He desires to confirm our faith in Him and His leadership.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we know that we are not to expect signs before our eyes such as Gideon wanted, but  pray and find grace in Your sight.  By the Holy Spirit we know You will show us a sign, in our spirits and hearts, directing us on what we need to do and how to do it.  You are the Great Leader.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
