Liberty: Guaranteed Freedom When You Follow His Ways

Read: 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 / Philippians 3:1-11

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV

Liberty is a state of freedom.

The Word has told us that, “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV).

Our belief in Him is essential to our living a holy life.

A holiness that gives us the will and ability to do what is right and good.

Freedom from the bondage of sin and the things of this world.

But this liberty only comes when our spirits are renewed.

It cannot exist apart from godliness.

Paul even declared that the most important purpose of God the Father was to make us like His Son (Romans 8:29 KJV).

To be the one to live a life free from sin.

That is what sainthood is about.

Sainthood is to be our goal.

To be the holy one that is set apart for God’s special purposes.

To be a true follower of Christ.

Never forgetting that,, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2 KJV).

Every believer is guaranteed a perfect change to Christ in the world to come.

But the Father does not want us to sit idle.

To be the one that is inactive in spreading the Word to others.

We are to continue to let the Holy Spirit be our guide.

Helping us to grow more and more into Christlike sainthood.

We will continue to face daily challenges in our efforts.

The more we stay in the Word, we will become more like Christ.

The more we show others the benefits of living a holy life.

A goal that every saint should strive to achieve.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know we should all have a desire to know about the transforming powers of the gospel. To be more like the Savior in every area of our lives. To grow more in His love. To be the saints He has called us to be. Let us see daily the changes that need to be made in our lives. We know that to be a saint means we are to be like Christ. Help us to become united with Him.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
