Life Sins Exposed Allows His Great Wisdom to Prevail

Read: Proverbs 3:27-35

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. Proverbs 3:35 KJV

Shame is something that we all experience.

It is a powerful feeling.

It is an embarrassment that really eats away at us unless it is taken care of.

We see it when someone becomes so angry with someone else that they hit them.

It can be heard in a person’s voice who hits someone in a moment of anger.

It can sweep over a person who has violated your trust when they revealed something that you told them in confidence.

We all have different feelings.

Feelings that can cause us to act foolishly.

Those are the times we need to question ourselves on how we can manage these strong emotions.

What we can do to find relief.

That is when we need to pray and ask the Father for help.

Remembering that bad thoughts as well as bad deeds are sins.

Confessing humbly to Him about the sin we have committed.

Being specific about the sin of which God’s Spirit convicted us.

Knowing that when we repent of that sin, determining that with His help we will not repeat it.

When we are honest and serious with Him, He will forgive us.

A forgiveness that was made possible because Christ bore the ultimate shame for all our sins on the cross (Hebrews 12:2 KJV, John 1:8-22 KJV).

It is good to know that we do not have to live with the shame of sin.

That we can turn to Christ and receive His complete forgiveness.

Accepting the truth that our guilt is gone.

Resting assured that we no longer have a reason for shame.

Sin brings shame.

Our confessions bring confidence.

Always remembering, “The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools” (Proverbs 3:35 KJV).

Our goal is to observe the precepts of Christ.

To copy His example.

To avoid all needless strife.

Let us be the one who finds Divine favor in His sight.

The one who is wise and set to inherit glory.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that shame can overwhelm our souls. It happens because we have chosen to take the path of sin. But we know if we humbly call on You, You will grant us peace within. May we never forget that sin brings shame. Confessions give us the confidence to press on. A confidence that we can only receive through You and the Word. Because with You, all things are possible. Thank You Father.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
