Today’s Reading: Philippians 4:10-13
Today’s Verse: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 KJV
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).
This verse is often used in worship songs and hymns.
It reminds us that we can do whatever God calls us to do when we rely on His strength.
He wants us to learn through our experiences.
He wants us to find peace and happiness at the end of it all.
He is giving us the power to face any challenge with His strength.
God knows our strengths and our weaknesses.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV).
He does not want us to rely on our personal ambitions and ability to accomplish any task.
God knows our strengths and our weaknesses.
The Apostle Paul understood what this meant.
He was often in bonds and imprisonments. He had times of hunger and needs.
But through it all, he learned to be content. He learned to bring his mind to his condition and make the best of it.
His experiences of hunger, need, and abundance demonstrates the principle of being content in whatever our situation may be.
He knew that through Christ he could be content despite his circumstances. No matter how hard it got.
He kept his trust in the Lord.
The same holds true for our lives.
God holds the key. He is in control of every situation we face in life.
No matter what life brings, He will always be there to strengthen us. To give us hope.
We just have to remember, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Through Christ we have grace to do what is good.
We have all things by Him, let us do all things for Him.
And let us do it to His glory.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we pray for patient submission and hope when we are being humbled. Gives us the encouragement we need in life. We can do all things through You. When we are weak, You make us strong. Thank You for giving us what we need to make a difference for You in this world. Joy and peace will always abound when we put our trust in You.
