Love Worth Giving

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.  1 Corinthians 13:4 KJV

Charity is defined as the voluntary giving of help to those in need.

It is typically in the form of money.

It can also be seen in the voluntary donations of one’s time or manpower.

There are different fundraising efforts, the giving of blood, toys, clothing, furniture and other gently used items.

But the greatest form of charity is the way the Lord desires for us to show it.

It is love.

Our charitable love signifies the reciprocal love between God and man.

Remembering that what we do is unselfish.

Not desiring to seek it’s own praise or get recognition.

But to manifest it in our unselfish love of one to another.

The same Divine Love that the Lord has shown us.

A love that dwells in our hearts yearning to be manifested.

To whom will you show love today?

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, charity comes in many forms, but the greatest is love.  Just like the love You have shown us, may we manifest it towards all men. A love that shows the grace we have received and the faith we have in You.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
