Our Prayer Life: The Greatest Way of Devoted Communication

Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 17:11-17

Today’s Verses: Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. Jeremiah 17:14 KJV

Prayer is our communication with the Lord.

Thanking Him and giving Him praise. We confess our sins. We ask for help concerning our needs and desires.

When we pray, we engage in a loving relationship with Him.

In this passage, the Prophet Jeremiah is praying to the Lord saying, “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise” (Jeremiah 17:14 KJV).

He prays to God for healing. He recognized God’s power to heal. That He could not get it from any other source.

For His saving mercy. He wanted to be saved from his current troubles. He wanted to be saved from the consequences of sin.

He appeals to God for help in performing his duties in good faith.

He humbly asks God to protect him. He wanted to succeed in the work which he had called him to do.

He is expressing his dependence on God. Both his physical and spiritual healing.

Jeremiah’s devotion and thankfulness to God shows us that God is the reason for his praise and worship.

That a prayer of faith and dependence on God is the way.

That by recognizing Him as our ultimate source of healing and salvation, we will receive that which He desires for us.

Prayer is the key. Our faith unlocks many doors to God’s blessings.
