Unlimited Recognition: This is What Really Belongs to Him

Today’s Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:23-33

Today’s Verses: Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV

Each day that we rise is a blessing. We have food to eat. Clothes on our backs. We have the ability to do a multitude of things.

That is why today’s verse reminds us that all actions, even the ones that are routine, should be done with the intention of honoring God.

We are to have a mindset that pleases God in every area of our lives.

In this passage, Paul is discussing the freedom Cristians have in Christ. It was about the food offered to idols.

Even though Christians had freedom in such matter, he was urging them to consider how their actions might impact other. Questioning whether they were truly honoring God.

He stressed that even in areas of freedom, their focus should be on glorifying God. They were not to cause offense or stumbling blocks to others.

The same holds true for our lives.

This verse serves as a reminder that all actions, both large and small, can be opportunities to honor God.

Acknowledging that all of our life, He has done so much for each of us.

It calls for us to make a conscious effort to live in a way that reflects God’s character. Things that bring Him glory.

We are encouraged to have the ability to understand and notice things that are not obvious or easily seen by others.

Hebrews 13:15-16 KJV tells us:

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

All we do is to be for the glory of God. We do it without offence to the consciences of others.

As we go through this day remember this one thing.

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17 KJV).

We move beyond self-centered motivations to a God-centered approach. We do it in all areas of life.

Forever and ever, we should worship Him and lift up His name.

When we do our spirits will always be strong and free.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we are appreciating all that You are doing in our lives. We sing praises to Your name like the psalmist. We say, I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.” We can never praise You enough for all that You do for us. Thank You for what You have done for us. For all that You will do for us.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen
