Today’s Reading: Colossians 3:12-17
Today’s Verses: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16 KJV
To live in mutual love, forbearance, and forgiveness is what the Lord desires for our lives.
We know that this world is filled with so much corruption in the hearts of man.
Even though the Lord has told us, we must not only do no hurt to any but do what good we can to all Colossians 3:12-14 KJV).
Colossians 3:16 KJV is just one verse that speaks to the importance of focusing on God’s Word.
It is encouraging us to let the Word of Christ dwell richly in us. The more we do, it will spread throughout our lives. It will shape our thoughts and actions. Helping with how we interact with others.
As believers, we need the Word of the Lord to richly dwell within us. Letting it guide us with wisdom. Creating a fellowship through teaching. Accepting His corrections. Singing praises for all that He is doing in our lives.
He is shaping our thoughts, actions, and worship. Showing us how to defeat the enemy. How to defeat the things of this world.
We will have a life changed by the Word of Christ.
Whatever we are employed about, let us do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Showing Him that we know His “[Word] is a lamp unto [our] feet, and a light unto [our] path” (Psalms 119:105 KJV).
That we will not forget how His Word provides guidance and direction in our lives.
That we have a believing dependence on Him.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all need the Scriptures. They help our souls to prosper. We receive the graces and blessings You have for our lives. We pray that the Word will continue to dwell on us. Giving us all the wisdom and teachings we need. We will be singing songs of praise. Songs of grace. Letting others know how great You are. Thank You for bringing guidance and direction in our lives.
