Today’s Reading: Psalms 139:1-18
Today’s Verse: Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. (Psalms 139:3 KJV)
We all know that when we were young and the young ones of today, we could claim to know everything.
But as we get older, we come to realize that is not the case.
We find that we will have more questions than answers as we go through life.
We wonder about the whys, whens, and hows of life.
Often times forgetting that though we do not know everything, we serve a God who does.
David says, “O LORD, thou hast searched me and known me … Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways” (Psalms 139:1,3 KJV).
God has perfect knowledge of us.
He takes strict notice of every step we take.
He knows what rules we walk by, what end we walk toward, and what company we walk with.
All our thoughts and actions are open before Him.
We should take great comfort in knowing that God loves and cares so much about us.
He knows when we need guidance concerning every situation in our lives.
Our knowledge will always be limited, but it is good to know that wherever we are, we are under the eye and hand of God.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we will never have total knowledge about the things of life. What we do know is that You have all knowledge. That any questions we have, we can direct them to You. Thank You for knowing everything about us. Thank You for supplying us with what we need. We put our trust in You.
