We all have different ways of reacting to the trials we face in life.
Like the disciples, when we are tossed by the waves of difficulties and tribulations by the winds of human experiences, we begin to doubt God’s care.
It seems like everything is against us and we are prone to forget that the Lord has told us, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5).
In this scripture, Christ invited Peter to come out on the waters, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness.
The Lord often lets his servants have their choice.
Giving us the ability to humble and prove ourselves, and to show the greatness of His power and grace.
What peace we often forfeit when we refuse to take God at His Word.
When we look off from Christ, and look at the greatness of opposing difficulties, we begin to fall.
How much better it is to keep our eyes on Him and trust His promises.
Promises that when we call to Him, He will stretch out His arm, and save us.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You that when we find ourselves sinking and we find ourselves in need, You are always there. You are the great Savior. The one who saves us. The one who lets us cry out to Him. The one who gives us salvation. Even on a stormy day, our faith in shown when we take You at Your Word. Thank You again.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
