A vine is a climbing or trailing woody-stemmed plant of the grape family.
The vineyard is a plantation of grapevines, typically producing grapes used in winemaking.
Jesus is the True Vine. One of everlasting life and majesty.
He is the source of life, strength, and salvation, planted by God, who is the root.
Allowing for the union of the human and Divine natures, and the fulness of the Spirit that is in each of us.
A Vine that is made fruitful by the moisture from a rich soil. The soil being the Word.
Believers are branches of this Vine.
The branches of the vine are many, but when they meet in the root, they are one vine.
Thus, all true Christians, are like these branches.
Though we are weak, unable to stand, have our place in life and have a difference in opinions, in the end we meet in Christ, becoming one.
The Father is wise, and watchful, about His vineyard, about His church, and wants nothing more than for us to prosper.
We must honor God and do good; this is bearing fruit.
The unfruitful branches, those that do not believe and bear fruit, are taken away.
The fruitful branches, those that believe, are pruned. Pruned because even the best has notions, passions, and humors, that need to be taken away.
Christ has promised the sanctification of believers, allowing us to be fruitful and we should be thankful, for them.
And the more fruit we bring forth, the more we abound in what is good, the more our Lord is glorified.
We must continue to abide in Christ, must have union with Him by faith, in order to remain fruitful.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, let us seek to live more on the fulness of Christ, and to grow more fruitful in every good word and work. Reaping the joy in Him and in His salvation. That the harvest may be full.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
