Trust And Believe

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2 KJV

We all face times of trouble and feelings of doubt.

We can feel more at rest when we put our trust in the Lord.

The disciples were troubled when Jesus spoke to them about the betrayal and death He was about to face. The darkest hours of His earthly life and those of the disciples as well.

Christ comforts the disciples by letting them know that despite what was about to happen, He would be preparing a place for them, in Heaven.

They were not to be troubled, depressed or worried.

They were to let their hearts be kept with full trust in God.

No matter how others were overwhelmed with the sorrows of this present time, they were not to find themselves in the same position.

The same holds true for us.

As Christ’s disciples, more than others, we should keep our minds quiet, when everything else is unquiet.

We do this when we “Believe.” By believing in Christ as the Mediator between God and man, we gain comfort.

Giving us the happiness, He desires for us on earth and in Heaven.

The happiness of Heaven is spoken of as in a Father’s house.

There are many mansions, for there are many sons to be brought to glory.

Christ is the sinner’s Way to the Father and to Heaven.

Because of His sacrifice, He has prepared a place for us, and our obedience to His Word will prepare us for it.

As we learn to trust in His faithfulness, even during our troubles and uncertainties, we know the Lord will lead us forward to a place of goodness.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we will only find comfort from the troubles and uncertainties of this world when we “Believe.” Our belief in You as the Mediator between God and man, is where we gain our comfort. Help us to continue to trust and lean on You.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
