Like A Little Child

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 KJV

When the disciples asked the Lord who was the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, He called a little child to come and join them.

The Lord, in a serous manner, told them that unless they were converted and made like little children, they could not enter His kingdom.

Children, when very young, do not desire authority. They do not show an outward knowledge of right from wrong, are free from doing harm, are teachable, and are willingly dependent on their parents.

It is true that they soon begin to show an outward knowledge of right from wrong, and other ideas are taught to them.

Through the eyes of the Lord, we see that these are the marks of childhood and proper examples of the lowly minds of true Christians.

We need to be daily renewed in the spirit of our minds, that we may become simple and humble, as little children.

Let us daily study this subject and examine our own spirits. Willing to be the least of all and welcoming all who open their hearts to Him.

Our faith in the Lord is to be like that of a trusting child.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, Thank You for calling us to follow You. May we have the faith of a child. Showing an outward knowledge of who You are and the love You have for us all.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
