Keep Counting

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. James 1:2 KJV

We all have our moments when we are discouraged and tired.

Those are the times a talk with the Lord can bring about the best and enable us to put our stresses aside.

His guidance shows us how to behave in a prosperous way, no matter the circumstances.

I read a quote by Charles Swindoll. It said, “Life is 10 percent what happens to you, 90 percent how you react to it.”

Life has different meanings for each of us. Our goals, dreams and attitudes define how we react in life.

The people that James was writing to were scattered because of the way they were looking at things. He asked them to consider how they were doing it.

That’s when he challenged them with these words: ” My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”

The same holds true for us. We are to consider it all joy whenever we face the many trials in life.

Knowing that each of our journeys is a way to enhance our trust in the Lord.

That the joy James speaks about comes as we learn to see that the Lord can use all our struggles to help us grow in faith.

A faith that worketh by love, purifies the heart, subdues carnal lusts, and obeys God’s commands.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that every part of Divine revelation has its use, in bringing the sinner to Christ for salvation. That it is directing and encouraging us to walk at liberty, by the Spirit according to Your holy commands. That we can count it all joy when we meet with temptations, because You are with us, leading and guiding us every step of the way. Thank You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
