MERCY ALL AROUND

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.  Psalms 32:10 KJV

When baking a pound cake, there are directions you should follow to ensure it turns out right.

The first of which is getting all of your ingredients together and pre-heating the oven to the desired temperature.

Once you have mixed all the ingredients as directed, it is ready to pour into a prepared cake pan.

Bake for the allotted time.  When done, place on a wire rack to cool.

Once cooled, turn the cooked cake up-side down on your cake plate.
If the cake does not readily un-mold, take a spatula around the edges to loosen it. (Be careful cake may split or crumble if not done correctly).

Slice and enjoy!

If we desire to have a life that turns out right, not split or crumbled, we  have to follow God’s directions in His recipe book.

The Bible, the ultimate recipe book for both the sinner and the believer.

Jesus, our Lord, is the author and the Word is the main ingredient that is the source of our encouragement to stand fast and gather all the things we need in our lives to stay on the right track.

A blending of ingredients, that together will result in the best of the best.

Sometimes things get heated in our lives, we tend to stop following instructions and as David said, the only way it will end is in sorrow.

That’s when we need to stop, read the Word, our divine instructions, over and over again, and keep our trust in the Lord.

Once we do, we will sit back and see that our communion with the Lord is the best recipe we could ever try.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Thank you Father for helping us to know that the Bible is the ultimate recipe book.  The Book that helps us realize what we need in life, the steps we need to take and the wonderful results we will obtain.  The results of receiving your love, mercy, forgiveness, and recipes that never go bad or change.  Results that the ultimate ending is the best relationship one could ever ask for.  Thank you Father!

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
