John 8:12 KJV
At night when we walk into a room the first thing we do is turn on the light.
Although we are usually familiar with the surroundings, we turn on the light because we don’t want to walk in darkness, fearful that
we could stumble on something and fall.
Life has its way of changing.
We get familiar with our circumstances and something suddenly changes or we know that something needs to be changed to improve it.
Although the circumstances can be dark and grim, Jesus is the light that will guide us through it all.
He is our intercessor to God the ultimate light of the world.
Just like the earth would be dark without the sun, our lives would be dark without Jesus, the Son of God.
When we follow Jesus we will know the truths that are needed to keep us from walking in darkness, doing the things that can destroy our lives and lead us down the paths of unrighteousness.
He is the light that leads us in the direction necessary to keep us from living a life of sin.
He is our light of redemption. The light that we should follow any time of the day.
He is always there for us shining brightly.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, thank you for being the light in my life. A light that keeps me from walking in darkness and continues to shine. A light that is seen by others and shows them how great You are. May I continue to walk in Your way, not in darkness, but the light of life and do Your will forevermore.
